Fly-Through Animations

Let your clients walk the property before it exists. Cinematic fly-throughs for client presentations, investor decks, permit boards, and marketing. Delivered as broadcast-quality MP4.

A Still Image Tells Them What It Looks Like. A Fly-Through Tells Them What It Feels Like.

Blender · SketchUp

There's a moment in every client presentation when a still render isn't enough. They want to understand the sequence of spaces — how you move from the entry into the great room, what the view looks like from the master suite, what it feels like to approach the house from the street.

A fly-through answers all of that in 90 seconds. No explaining. No pointing at plans. Just an experience that puts your client inside the project before a foundation is poured.

We build animations with the same precision we bring to renderings — accurate materials, calibrated lighting, and camera paths that are planned for storytelling, not just motion. Every frame is intentional.

Where Fly-Throughs Win the Room

The right animation at the right moment changes the outcome of a meeting.

Client Presentations

Walk clients through their unbuilt home in 90 seconds. Answer questions before they ask them. Get design approval faster.

Investor Decks

Give investors a cinematic experience of a project that doesn't exist yet. Nothing builds confidence in a development like seeing it move.

Permit & Planning Boards

Show planning commissioners exactly how the project sits in its context, how it reads from the street, and what neighbors will see.

Marketing & Pre-Sales

Embed on your website, post to social, include in property listings. A 60-second fly-through outperforms any photo carousel.

Built for Architects, Developers, and Builders Who Present at the Highest Level

Fly-through animations aren't for every project. They're for situations where a still image leaves something on the table.

  • Architects presenting complex spatial sequences where the experience of moving through a space is part of the design story
  • Developers raising capital or launching pre-sales who need investors and buyers to feel the project, not just see a floor plan
  • Luxury builders in markets like Rancho Santa Fe, Shady Canyon, and Newport Coast where client expectations are high and design differentiation matters
  • Planning and permit submissions where a dynamic contextual view communicates impact more clearly than static elevation drawings

From Storyboard to Screen

Every camera move is planned before render begins — no surprises, no wasted time.

01

Storyboard & Camera Path

I map the animation sequence — exterior approach, entry, interior flow, key views — and share a storyboard for your approval before any render begins.

02

Animatic Review

A low-resolution preview of camera paths and timing is delivered first. You confirm pacing, sequence, and transitions before the full render runs.

03

Full-Quality Render

Final animation is rendered at full quality — lighting, materials, and post-production color grading all dialed in for cinematic output.

04

Final Delivery

MP4 delivered at 1080p or 4K, ready to embed, present, post, or broadcast. Music and title cards included if requested.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an architectural fly-through animation?

An architectural fly-through is a cinematic animation that moves through or around a 3D model of a building or site — giving viewers the experience of walking through a space before it's built. They're used for client presentations, investor decks, planning board submissions, and property marketing.

What file format is the animation delivered in?

All animations are delivered as MP4 at 1080p (HD) or 4K depending on the scope. MP4 plays on any device, embeds in presentations and websites, and is accepted by all major video platforms. A lossless format (ProRes or similar) is available for broadcast or high-end production use.

How long does a fly-through animation typically run?

Most architectural fly-throughs for client presentations and marketing run 60–120 seconds. Shorter cuts (30 seconds) are produced for social media. Longer animations for comprehensive site walkthroughs can run 3–5 minutes. I'll recommend a length based on your audience and use case.

How long does a fly-through take to produce?

A 60–90 second fly-through typically takes 2–3 weeks from an approved 3D model, depending on complexity and render time. Projects starting from 2D drawings take longer because the model must be built first. I provide a timeline at the start of every project — no guessing.

Can I include music and voiceover?

Yes. I can include licensed background music suited to the project tone. Voiceover is also available — either a script I write for you to record, or I can source professional voice talent. Title cards, captions, and lower-thirds can also be added for context.

Can the animation show both interior and exterior spaces?

Yes. A comprehensive fly-through can move from an exterior approach shot, through the front door, into the main living spaces, and back out to a site overview. The animation path is planned with you before render begins, so you approve the sequence before I commit render time.

What's the difference between a fly-through and a VR walkthrough?

A fly-through is a pre-rendered video — your client watches it passively, like a film. A VR walkthrough is interactive — your client controls their own movement through the space using a Oculus headset. Fly-throughs are ideal for presentations and marketing. VR walkthroughs are ideal for client approval and design sign-off. I offer both.
