3D Rendering
Photorealistic renderings that show your client what they're actually getting — not a pretty approximation. Interior, exterior, aerial, and detail views. All accurate to spec.
Every Rendering Is Reviewed With the Same Eye That Approved the Original Design
That's not a marketing line. Thorpe Studios is founded by a licensed California architect — which means we know when a shadow angle is wrong, when a material isn't reading correctly, and when a proportion is slightly off. Because we have caught those things on real projects.
Most rendering studios are software operators. They produce images that look impressive in a thumbnail but fall apart under scrutiny from an architect, a developer, or a discerning client. Our work doesn't.
Lighting, materials, and landscaping are all built to match your specifications — not pulled from a generic asset library. The result is a rendering that accurately represents your design, not a loose visual interpretation of it.

Exterior Rendering
From single-family homes to luxury estates, I handle the full spectrum of exterior architectural rendering — site context, landscaping, material finishes, and lighting all calibrated to make the design read the way you intended it to read.
The goal isn't a pretty picture. It's an image that closes the conversation and gets the project approved.
Interior Rendering
My interior rendering work focuses on the things that actually move clients — material accuracy, the way afternoon light hits a countertop, how a furniture layout reads in three dimensions. I pay attention to the details clients notice without knowing why.
Available for residential interiors, kitchen and bath details, model unit tours, and commercial and hospitality spaces.
From Files to Final Image
A predictable process with no black-box surprises.
01
File Review & Scope
I review your drawings or existing model, confirm scope and deliverables, and quote a clear timeline and fee.
02
Camera & Lighting Setup
I share camera angle options before committing render time. You approve the composition before I go deep on materials and lighting.
03
Render & Review
Initial render delivered for review. Up to two revision rounds are included to dial in materials, lighting, and composition.
04
Final Delivery
4K TIFF and JPEG files delivered. Ready for print, digital, presentations, and marketing use on the day you receive them.
Who I Work With
I focus on clients who understand the difference between a good render and a great one — and who have something at stake if the image doesn't hold up under scrutiny.
- Architects and small firms in San Diego and Orange County presenting to design-savvy clients who will ask hard questions
- Luxury custom home builders producing marketing materials for homes listed above $1.5M in markets like Rancho Santa Fe, Newport Coast, and Shady Canyon
- Interior designers who need photorealistic finish package approvals before procurement
- Real estate developers building investor decks and pre-sales materials for boutique residential projects

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of 3D renderings do you produce?
I produce exterior renderings, interior renderings, aerial/bird's-eye views, and close-up detail renderings. Each can be delivered at day, dusk, or night lighting to suit your presentation or marketing needs.
How realistic are the renderings?
My renderings are built in Blender using physically based rendering (PBR) — meaning lighting, materials, and shadows behave the way they do in the real world, not approximations. The goal is an image your client cannot easily distinguish from a photograph of the completed building.
What is the turnaround time for a rendering?
A single exterior rendering typically takes 4–7 business days from an approved 3D model. Interior renderings vary by complexity. Packages of multiple views take longer and are scoped individually. Rush delivery is available — ask me about it when you reach out.
What resolution are the final renderings delivered at?
+
Standard deliverables are 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) suitable for print, large-format display, and digital marketing. Higher resolutions are available for billboard or large-format print applications. Files are delivered as TIFF (lossless) and JPEG.
Can you match specific materials, finishes, and landscaping to my specs?
Yes. Schematic design and design development drawings are fine as starting points. I'll flag any missing information before I begin, so there are no surprises mid-project. Early-stage models can be updated as the drawings evolve — I structure them with that in mind.
How many revision rounds are included?
Each rendering package includes two revision rounds. Revisions cover camera angle adjustments, minor material changes, lighting adjustments, and small design modifications. Significant redesigns are quoted separately. I'm clear about what falls inside and outside scope before we start.
Can you provide day, dusk, and night versions?
Yes. Lighting variations — day, golden hour/dusk, and night — are available for any exterior or interior rendering. These are particularly useful for marketing campaigns where different versions serve different channels or moods.
What makes your renderings different from overseas rendering studios?
Every rendering I produce is reviewed with the same eye that approved the original design — because I'm a licensed architect, not a software operator. That means material accuracy, correct shadow angles, accurate proportions, and details that don't look "off" to a trained eye. Overseas studios optimize for speed and volume. I optimize for accuracy.
Ready to see your design the way your client will?
Send me your files and tell me what views you need — exterior, interior, aerial, or all three. I'll come back with a scope, a price, and a delivery date you can plan around.
